Product Description
The high precision removable arm is a plug-in cost effective, precision tool setting system for use on CNC lathes. When needed, the arm is manually introduced to the machine envelope and geld in place through the use of the machine resident high precision removable arm base The arm is locked in position through the duration of the tool setting cycle, After use, the arm is removed and stored on the high precision removable arm storage stand.
The high precision removable arm is available to fit most common chuck sizes from 6 in to 24 in each high precision removable arm standard kit (see below) is supplied complete with:
- • PR3 probe ( A-2197-0449)
- • 90 probe holder
- • TSi2 interface (A-2176-0010)
- • High precision removable arm storage stand (A-2176-0019)

A stylus assembly and base rear exit or side exit are not included and must be ordered separately.

The high precision removable arm base is designed to provide a repeatable location for fixing the high precision removable arm during tool setting. The base is set within the machine and is supplied with a cover to protect the unit from coolant and debris when the arm is not in use. HPRA bases are available in rear and side exit configurations and are supplied with 3 meters of cable.
There are six primary configurations to support the high precision removable arm. Each is designed to be compatible with standard sizes of block ranging from 5/8 in to 2 in. Each stylus kit comes complete with:
- • 15" x 15" x 4" stylus assembly
- • Break stem
- • Stylus extension/adaptor
- • Screws and tool kit
